Technology

Dani Laptop.jpgTechnology at Bethany School has many facets.  Students in grades kindergarten through grade six attend computer lab each week and learn computer skills which they use when working with laptops or computers in their classrooms and homes.

Students in kindergarten and first grade have computers in their classrooms, while students in second through eighth grades have
laptops at each grade level.  Teachers incorporate the computers and laptops into every curricular area including webquests, research, publishing writing, and enhancing curriculum.  Bethany's wireless capabilities allow students and teachers flexibility in using the laptops
school wide.

Second through eighth grade teachers enhance math curriculum through Accelerated Math.  This program allows students to move through math concepts at an individual pace.

Parents and students find the ready access to PowerSchool, our open gradebook program, to be an extremely
valuable communication tool.  Families can view current grades, fees, and assignment descriptions at any time.
In addition, most teachers maintain a personal website on which students may check homework assignments,
upcoming events, and classroom calendars.
