H1N1 Vaccines

Hamilton County Public Health Department (HCPH) has advised that vaccinating school age children is very important in controlling the severity of illness in our community.

Early the week of October 5, you will receive a packet of information from the health department to complete and return to school within 2 days. The packet will include H1N1 information, vaccine information, and the student consent form. Complete instructions will be in your packet.

(HCPH) will administer the vaccine to our students at no cost and at Bethany School. The date when the HCPH will be at Bethany School to administer the vaccine will be passed on to parents as soon as this information is available; however, we understand that the notification may be as short as 24 hours in advance. A phone call will be made to the primary phone of each family and, if necessary, a message will be left. Unfortunately, we will not be able to contact multiple numbers or make multiple calls if the initial call is not answered. As such, please check your phone messages on a regular basis. The information will also be posted on the school website.

We encourage parents to accompany their children for the vaccination. Children who will be with their parents when they receive the vaccine will be the first served on our given day. We have requested that the hours of 7:30 to 10:30 for the vaccine to be administered at Bethany School. Parents should plan to arrive between 7:30 and 8:30 with their children.
