Bethany School has been a member of the International School to School Experience program since 1987. The purpose of ISSE is to promote world peace and understanding through friendships between the children and schools of the world.
This exchange program allows a group of fifth and sixth graders and a teacher chaperone to travel
to another country for three weeks. The visiting students live with families in the host country and attend school. It also allows fifth and sixth grade students to host students from another country in their own homes. In recent years, exchanges have been with Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, and Ecuador, and El Salvador. Traveling students prepare a cultural show to present to the host school and classroom presentations for individual classes.
