Travel Opportunities

I.S.S.E.
Bethany School has been a member of the International School to School Experience program since 1987.  The purpose of ISSE is to promote world peace and understanding through friendships between the children and schools of the world.

This exchange program allows a group of fifth and sixth graders and a teacher chaperone to travelNick and Kanga.jpg to another country for three weeks.  The visiting students live with families in the host country and attend school.  In recent years, exchanges have been with Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, and Ecuador.  Traveling students prepare a cultural show to present to the host school and classroom presentations for individual classes.

Summer Travel Experience

Students from seventh and eighth grade have the opportunity to travel abroad with a teacher chaperone during the summer months.  Trips are coordinated through ACIS and, most often, a Spanish speaking country is the chosen destination, allowing the students to make use of the foreign language that they have studied.  Recent trips have been to Peru, Costa Rica, and Spain.
