Latchkey Program : "After the Bell"

Bethany School "After the Bell" Latchkey program is offered to students in grades kindergarten through grade
eight.  Teachers provide daily homework assistance, outside play time (weather permitting); quiet time; and
activities suitable to each age level.  Each child is provided a healthy snack and drink.  Games, crafts, puzzles, movies, and more are accessible on a daily basis.  Morning latchkey begins at 7:00 am and continues until
7:30 am when our regular school day begins.  Students are supervised from 7:30 am until 7:55 am when the
bell rings to begin classes. 
The "After the Bell" program is staffed by Bethany teachers who are committed to providing continuity to each student's educational experience by supporting the daily structure and expectations of Bethany School.

Daily Schedule:

Morning Latchkey
    7:00 to 7:30   Students are supervised in the Dining Room

Afternoon Latchkey
    2:50 to 3:00   Students are dismissed from class and arrive in                                 the Dining Room
    3:00 to 3:10   Teachers take attendance
    3:10 to 3:20   Healthy snacks are served
    3:20 to 4:10   Free time, outside if weather permits
    4:10 to 4:15   Latchkey groups assemble in their assigned areas
    4:10 to 5:15   Homework time, quiet time, activity centers, games
    5:15 to 5:30   Students all regroup in the Dining Room
    5:30 to 6:00   Free time in the Dining Room
