Quest Class: Elective Classes for Grades Seven and Eight
Bethany students in grades seven and eight enjoy elective classes called 'Quest Classes' which are offered each quarter. Every seventh and eighth grader chooses an elective class which meets several times each week and changes quarterly, giving students the opportunity to participate in different classes over the course of the year.
Classes are comprised of both seventh and eighth graders and carry academic weight. Instructors come from the Bethany faculty, the Sisters, outside professionals, and parents. Our goal is to offer to our upper school students the opportunity to experience and investigate topics which are appealing to them, yet not typically offered in a school setting, while they get to know each other better in these multi-level classes.
In previous quarters, Quest Classes have including classes such as:
Classical Guitar
Cake Decorating
Jewelry Making
Yoga
Robotics
Public Speaking
Bridge
Decorative Painting
Drawing
German
Introduction to Japanese
Percussion
Tour of India
Tour of Thailand
Sights and Sounds of the Ukraine
Creative Dramatics
and many, many more.......
